Ahoy there! We hope you’re enjoying the new CIYC webpage! There’s a lot going on, and it’s highly suggested you cruise through the various links off to the right (below the Pages title), to get a better idea of what content is available or possibly point out to the webmaster (cobbislandyachtclub@gmail.com) what might need adding!
On January 22, 2011, the Potomac River Yacht Clubs Association hosted their annual Change of Watch event at the Hilton in Springfield, Virginia. This event had a variety of different activities, starting in the Hospitality room with plenty of refreshments for everyone. This led to the cocktail party in the Hilton’s main Ball Room. After consuming delectables, the Master of Ceremonies, PC Phil Bolin, called everyone to station to introduce the incoming Bridge to begin the evening’s events. The events included:
- Dancing
- Main course meal
- Music and entertainment
- A final toast in the hospitality room
Bead-Maker Chris was also able to hand out the information linked here, along with the official 2011 CIYC Change of Watch bead.
